Caroline Kane Kenna
Secretary/Liaison for CWC-North
Caroline Kane Kenna was raised in Southwest Virginia, daughter of an English scholar and a newspaper man. Her love of words and ear for story began at the family dinner table. She has worked as a newspaper reporter, freelance writer and as a public school volunteer. But her most important job was raising three boys. She writes with a group of poets from the Lake Norman area. They crafted Above the Fold, a book of poems from meditations on fabric—clothing and materials, family and memory, the fabric of life. The anthology is published by Main Street Rag Publishing Co. She also writes fiction and has contributed an essay to Reflections on the New River to be published soon by McFarland & Company. She is the liaison for CWC-North and secretary for the Charlotte Writers’ Club board of directors. A Graduate of King University formerly King College in Bristol, TN, and Memphis University formerly Memphis State University, Caroline has a BA in History and a BA in Journalism. She lives in Huntersville with husband Mike, youngest son Logan and their cat Onyx.
