Landis Wade is a trial lawyer, arbitrator, mediator and author who lives in Charlotte with his wife and two rescue dogs. His dogs are named after characters from Larry McMurtry’s classic western, Lonesome Dove.
In recent years, Landis has had fun writing about conflict in the legal world. He’s the author of The Christmas Courtroom Adventure Series, a set of whimsical legal mysteries where Christmas is on trial and time is running out. He won the 2016 North Carolina State Bar short story contest for his story, The Deliberation. As a member of the Charlotte Writers' Club, he’s made new friends and had a blast in the club’s short story critique group. He’s also a member of Charlotte Lit and the North Carolina Writer’s Network.
When he’s not practicing law or writing about characters who do it better than him, he loves spending time at his mountain cabin with his wife Janet, visiting or traveling with his adult children, fly fishing, golfing, pulling for the Panthers and walking his dogs.
