John McGillicuddy is an award-winning writer and photographer whose career spans professional sports, the arts, publishing, healthcare and government. In addition to authoring numerous magazine and newspaper articles, he was managing editor of a magazine publishing company in the medical equipment industry. He also created and wrote “The Mecklenburgers,” a local television program in Charlotte, NC.

John also spent 23 years in local government, including more than a decade as assistant county manager with Mecklenburg County, NC. In addition to a B.A. in Sports Management, he holds a master’s degree (MSL) in Organizational Change and Leadership from Pfeiffer University. In 2014, John launched a consulting firm, providing clients throughout North America with expertise and training in organizational strategy, performance management, and communication. Now retired, John’s avocations include writing, photography, traveling, running and playing competitive soccer. He lives in Charlotte and is married with two adult children.
