CWC North, a branch of the Charlotte Writers Club, serves as a rallying point for writers in the northern portion of Mecklenburg County. Founded by (Mary) Louise Rockwell, a former professor of theater who wrote poetry and plays, CWC North sponsors occasional speakers and workshops, often in cooperation with Main Street Books in Davidson. They have partnered with the Iodine Poetry Journal to co-sponsor an open mic night at Waterbean Coffee in Huntersville.
Events sponsored by CWC North are included in the list of events for the Charlotte Writers Club.
