CWC North

CWC North, a branch of the Charlotte Writers Club, serves as a rallying point for writers in the northern portion of Mecklenburg County. Founded by (Mary) Louise Rockwell, a former professor of theater who wrote poetry and plays, CWC North has in the past sponsored occasional speakers and workshops, often in cooperation with Main Street Books in Davidson and, in partnership with the Iodine Poetry Journal, open mic nights at Waterbean Coffee in Huntersville.

Events sponsored by CWC North are usually integrated into the list of events for the Charlotte Writers Club. However, in the fall of 2022 CWC North announced that it planned to pause programming indefinitely.
